Government loan will improve value of home

Head of the Energy Saving Trust, made his comments as the organisation released details of the interest free loans of between £500 and £10,000 which will be available to Scottish homeowners.

He claimed that not only could the value of a house go up, but living costs may also be reduced since less money will be spent on energy bills.

Given that these are interest free loans so you only pay back what you borrow, often the savings you achieve will pretty much meet the costs of the loan.

As it is a completely new project, it is not clear how many people will apply for the loan, but the numbers are looking promising so far.
