The Lending market shows signs of recovery

This is the opinion of policy advisor for the Building Societies Association who said that the market is "still very subdued", although there are "signs of things picking up".

One factor contributing to the bleak conditions currently being experienced in the lending market is a lack of job security among those applying for loans.

As things level out and become a fraction more stable, that is when lenders will start to have a bit more confidence and move back to offering higher loan to value products.
The Bank of England's credit conditions survey indicated this week that there was a small increase in secured lending availability during the three months to mid-June.
